Welcome to the Center for Hearing Research
The Center for Hearing Research (CHR) consists of 46 faculty members and over 200 associate researchers and students. The faculty members span five institutions (UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Loma Linda University and Chapman University). CHR research cuts across a broad range of scientific levels from genes to systems, and experimental approaches from cell biology to neural computation. CHR provides clinical faculty an intellectual home and opportunities to mentor students, and basic researchers access to patients and clinical data. Students and postdocs particularly benefit from the enriched multidisciplinary exposure and opportunities. It would be difficult, if not impossible for individual departments or schools to offer these unique yet rich research and training opportunities. Learn more about CHR...
