2015 SoCal Hearing Conference
This informal one-day conference is intended to enhance communication among Southern California scientists interested in hearing and vocal communication. All levels of researchers are welcome, students through PI’s, but we particularly encourage presentations from senior students and post-docs.
The event will consist of presentations, no more than one from each lab, as well as posters from anyone who would like to offer one. Presentations will be 15 minutes in length with an additional 5-10 minutes for questions. We hope that each speaker will briefly introduce the overall scope of his or her lab followed by a brief presentation of his or her own research. If it happens that we receive more volunteers for talks than we can accommodate, we will be back in touch with you to try to trim things down to one or two talks per institution. Posters can be new, but repeats from recent ARO or other meetings are also welcome.
Lunch, coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the day. [An optional dinner at a local restaurant, the cost of which will be covered by each diner, can also be arranged.]
Aside from the cost of the optional dinner, there will be no fee since parking is free at UCSD on weekends.
